What’s a traditional orchard? In South Tyrol it’s called “Baumgart” and it’s very different from extensive cultivation: it has full grown trees and is a natural habitat for many plants and animals, such as bees.
Eurac Research is mapping these traditional orchards and through a series of open calls and events also raising awareness about the economic, environmental and cultural value of this biodiverse habitats.

I’ve worked on a playful logo to highlight biodiversity with many colourful elements that together create the traditional orchards, with humans working in balance with nature. There is a version with changeable layout and one with changeable background.
